Unhappy Sleight of Hand is underpowered

Once upon a time, Sleight of Hand was the penultimate reason to use a staff over every other kind of caster. Now that every non-staff LG that provides additional cast chance has a higher proc chance than sleight of hand, I believe that the very few reasons to continue using a staff are disappearing.

Almost very single benefit that a staff user gains by being a staff user is easily gained and surpassed by equipping a single LG piece and switching out a staff for more stats/procs/tempers.

If Sleight was changed to be 20% at 100 (and maybe ~28% at 140) it would make the staff users feel like they haven't been completely forsaken and forgotten about.

Support. Not being able to gain extra procs form 3 pieces (quiver, arrow, bow) is already a disadvantage. Let caster at least equip a quiver since you just throw it over your shoulder anyway (no hands needed). or I agree with slegith of hand buffed to 20% of gem going off twice for staff users.

How would it be any more OP than archers having over 50% double cast chance?

Support. Also like the idea of being able to equip quiver and arrow (since they just sling over shoulder like backpack).

If the ability to equip a quiver (and only a quiver) with a staff, I'd say leave sleight as is and I'll just get an opal quiver. Either of these options is viable in my opinion.

I have to agree with the logic of this. Staff users should be the go to casting class in nod. Since glitchless doesn't believe in nerfing LGs i believe this sound reasonable, and would make caster want to be staff again.

On a side note, i understand this would make staff casters extremely OP in PVP, so also suggest adding another epic skill that lowers dmg taken from gems by 10-20% dunno the math that would be appropriate for this.

dude just go Arcanist. You want more double-cast? run the pain and pleasure staff. Problem solved

Staffers get draw haste, regen buffs, the ability to stun, and is the most versatile build in the game besides Melee.

staff is fine, guess freaky proving that to y'all wasn't enough proof. IMPROVE

Max tiered Pain and Pleasure staff plus maxed Sleight of Hand still doesn't equal a single tier 1 opal quiver, fang spear, OR siren bow. All 3 together is insane comparatively.

You're also forgetting the fact you can tri-cast , and afaik (quad cast) with dragontamer breastplate and PnP staff equipped if proc'd with sleight of hand.

Arcanist literally lets you do whatever the hell you want with one basically.

free vamp, good damage, and a good CA if you get drained.

Why are you so concerned with double-cast? that's not what a staffers strength is. It's about being versatile.

It doesn't need a buff, you just need to go Arcanist.

original staff constraints were all done far before LG gear. When DD casters were grossly OP DPS wise. At this point a few of the old "this skill doesn't include staves" could certainly be looked at.

As for sleight of hand maybe arc could have extra bonus to it but there is give and take to staff vs DC caster. The only issue I have is obv shaft.

Staffers should get added inherent resistances to magic imo… that's it. The end
