i'll leave this one alone and vote for paster's :P he's so cute when he's following in my footsteps ^_^

(althought i would recommend about 5 lvls in magic to go straight to cnc and compromise by givin up a lil reg)
but i guess all pvm u wouldnt need it.. scratch that last part

Ok ive had sleep and feel like i could have a chance for this

Char Class = Guardian
Weapon Type Crush/Slash/Whip I put three weapon types since the build will work with all and the whip is for the best tank
Build Type 140, 39, 140, 1
No de-lvling until Level Cap.

Strategy lvl 1-19.
level melee and defense evenly to lvl 19. Melee go 2str to 1 dex. Defense go all dur for now.
Level Class enhancement and epicurious

Pick between slash and crush for weapon at these levels (slash has more) and level its stat. The rest of the melee skills are important (except peircing and dont lvl 2h) try to keep close to your level but it is ok if some lag behind. Critical strike would be my second in importance. For protection suiting and blocking are very important keep them at your lvl if not higher. Keep testudo at your shield's lvl. Also lvl up parry especialy if using slashers. In the magic skills lvl the first skill in each sorcery, diabloism, mindbending, and work on green black grey and blue magic. (you can work on beastmastery now if you want but other than petmanship not needed yet but i recomend to get a head start)at least get pet up to 18 for the chippie

Additional skills to lvl wizardry (to 10) gem handling (keep at your lvl). Also adventuring keep all round your lvl.

In archery lvl well archery to get a bow for opening shot at a later time when you can dual weild and testudo wont matter unless tanking

Shoud be using 20 armor for now unless your energetic and want the 25 and using either a bloodclaw (if slash) or a ball and chain (crush)

At lvl 19 you should be fighting in north passage

should beable to solo orc camp boss

Enchantments to aim for. Go for strength enchants +str -mre

Strategy lvl20-39. Continue only lvling melee and defense melee still 2 str to 1 dex. Def start adding points to all three 1 agi 1 cnt 1 dur

New skills added. more stuff to lvl in melee first priority is to lvl dual weild to 20. after than double attack and slash/crush spec. In defense dual parry.
In stats more skills that dont affect lvl add class specilization to your lvl list

Skills to focus on and their approx lvl. Keep up your old skills in all catagories. In melee add dual weild double attack and slash/crush spec. Defense add dual parry and when tanking deflective shield. Magic skills about the same if wanted add in eternity and for tanking replay and aggravation. Same for the rest.

Roughly what Equipment you should be using. Using the 36 armor or 39 if you like epics. For weapons use either emerald enchanted broadsword (slash) or cursed pommel (crush)

Area you should be in at lvl 39. Fighting in bat caves

Boss you should be able to solo. Bat caves possible VD1

Enchantments to aim for. Now you can continue with str i would also suggest adding agi enchants and for pvp dur enchants

Strategy lvl40-59. Keep up with the melee and defense same distribution 2 str:1 dex and 1agi:1cnt:1dur

New skills added. New skills to lvl is (you get a new skill in stats but seriously who dies?) melee you get 4 and will be lvling 3 of those defense you get 4 and will lvl all of those. beastmastery get 3 (guess what this is where you can become a great tank) explain later

Skills to focus on and their approx lvl. Same old skills keep around your current lvl and add in slash smash and presicion. (level the slashing skills now even if you chose crush and same with crush if slash) this is the good times for crushers and whips. Defense add in all of your new skills great for tanking. Nothing new for magic. Now if you havent already get all beastmastery skills up. These will now be your tanking setup


Roughly what Equipment you should be using. Either the 58 epic or if you dont like epics use the 63. for weapons i would highly recommend the blood spike mace (crush) if you dont want to use that i would say blue crystal axe (slash) both are epics if you dont have the abilty to get/or use epics the 61 crusher is good and not sure with slash... crushers are best at this time anyway.

Area you should be in at lvl 59. Arena Isle is a good place to farm

Boss you should be able to solo. Sea lion tyrant and very likely the Geyser Overlord

Enchantments to aim for. Now you wont notice as much difference with the str enchants. Go for agi and dur enchants with a few str if you arent doing your max yet

Strategy lvl60-80. you will reach your max melee and def during this time at 140 you will also add in your magic puting points solely into cnc melee and magic will stay the same

New skills added. gaining 2 new sets in this time. Only 2 new skills in melee. protection give you 2 new ones too but only improved bash is nessisary. you get 2 new skills in beastmastery also. no usefull ones added to magic catagories

Skills to focus on and their approx lvl. Like before continue with your old ones and add on the new skills. new to lvl are both the new melee strike though and deathblow. in protection level improved bash. level all the new beastmastery skills.

Roughly what Equipment you should be using. 81 slash, 86 crush, 74 whip for tanking, boa and owl for pets. boa on whip side when tanking

Area you should be in at lvl 80. Mount whitecap, great plateau, halycon rapids

Boss you should be able to solo. 86

Enchantments to aim for. pure dur

Level Cap.
Final Stats Distribution. 140, 39, 140, 1 approxamently a 300, 300, 400 in defense
Whats Skills you should now focus on for your build. most of the tier 1 and 2 skills should be brough up to 80 with little trouble and some took over. The most important ones brought up higher like crush,slash, suiting, blocking, testudo. the later skills are much harder and should be brought up as high as possible.
Guide to De-lvling. only de-lvling needed would be to get enchants or fix build if you level recovery or something to get to 80 faster
Enchantments to aim for. pure dur to get the proper def to tank will make you have low def skills so to get them to a good amount distribute in agi and cnt then if any is left dur if not enchant dur to around 400.

I only would use the whip while tanking since it isnt the best dual wielding but has the skills needed for a tank.
Some gems that are a must with this build are taunts and gaia's. Also some auras are needed like the sloth and the blue, black, red, ect resistance auras. Together with your skills makes the guardian very hard to do good amounts of damage too and even more difficult to hit with gems. All in all a guardian is the ultimate tank, yet is still good solo dual wielding. It is a very difficult build but is awarding in the end when you can do things no one else can as good as you can.


EDIT: Skills will be in the 70's to 80's with the first tiers. The later ones will not be as high the less important only in 50's with only the most important ones raised even higher. The final tier will not be lvled very high at all because of the difficulty involved but can be raised as high as wanted i would say that these would end in the 40's

EDIT #2: The stat distrobution that I put is for tanking. For other times you will want less agi and cnt and more dur. Also when farming you would want to have str enchants along with others. For duels go all out on Dur to jack up your max hp.

Couple things, I feel like, since this is a Melee guide that examples/stats should be given for all melee weapon types, and so I’m gonna do this as 4 classes in 1, one for each weapon type. Hopefully it’ll still be clear as to what I’m going for The way I’m gonna show number is a set of 4 in the form of (crush/slash/pierce/whips) under the melee stats, because this is where they will differ. The other thing, this will be a PvE build since the idea is to get to cap, safely and with a little speed, slowly in high combat % zones, in which you will raise CE/CS/MP/SE up to ~your lvl giving you time to raise needed skills.

Char Class: Warrior, Weapon Master, Rouge, BeastMaster
Weapon type: Crush, Slash, Pierce, Whips respectively(DW for all, 1H + shield for boss)
Build type will be 140/39/140/1 for all 4 classes.

Strategy for lvls 1-19:
2 Melee and 2 Defense per lvl, giving a build at lvl 19 of 39/1/38/1(1 stat required til lvl 20)
Melee lvls:
Str – (3 for crush/2 for slash/1 for pierce/2 for whips)
Dex – (0/1/2/1)
Pst - (0/0/0/0)
Defense lvls(roughly even):
Agi – 1
Cnt – 1
Dur – 1
The idea here is too boost your damage and also block chance in melee(1H + shield til DW skill). In defense it is to keep agi approximately 110 + your lvl, contravention approximately 120 + your lvl, and put the rest into dur. Spreading them out evenly will achieve this by lvl 19. Shooting for Defense stats of roughly 130/140/145.

Important Skills:
Crush/Slash/Pierce/Whips should be 24-25
Suiting – 25
Blocking – 25
Testudo – 20+
Critical stike – 19 (biggest boost < lvl 20)
Overcrit/Hemmorage – ~15 (hemm slightly higher for piercer)
Parry/Impedance/Combat Recovery - ~15
Sorcery - 15
Green/White – 18 (for rk 3 heals, invigorate or 2)
Mind Bending/Diabloism - ~15 (for resistances)
Blue – 10 (balance and a manaburst or 2)
Black – 15 (a few DoTs to help with DPS)
Gemhandling – 10 (2 of each gem)
Replenish/Revitalize – 10-15
Petmanship – 18(20 for whip users)
Taming, Loyalty – 15+ (whip)
Wound – 20(whip)
Predacity – 20 (whip)
Other skills to think about:
Wizardry, Divination, Remedial Focus
Learning should focus on Boosting passive speed, so Active Learning followed by Passive Learning. Then AA and GA for bonus XP.
Adventuring should focus on item stacking and decuberance, followed by archeo.

Equipment:
Should have lvl 25 armor equipped, if not using epics lvl 20 armor should be used, and should be working on 27 armor. This includes 25 or 20 shield as well. Chippies for non-whip users, Pomeranian for whip user.
Weapons – Warrior should be using Ball and Chain(22 crush), WM should be using a Blood Claw(15 slash), and working towards Zombie Claws(28 slash), or using the Lightsteel Axe(24 slash), Rogue should be using the Amethyst Long Dagger(20 pierce) and working towards the 25 piercer. BM should be using the Chain Whip(21 whip), or the 18 if non-epic, working on 26.
Gem pouch should consists of majority of healing gems, with a couple replenishers, and a few DoTs as you see fit, aura of thorns/reflection/sloth in slots 2-4.

Farming:
Should be farming N. Pass or N Dread(non-epic/epic), and should be able to solo both NPass and Moss Dungeon Lvl 2 bosses easily, and be giving the NDread boss a run for his money.

Enchants:
Should be str focused for crush/slash/whips, and dex focused for pierce. Str enchants on Pomeranian as well. –mre/-pre/-int are recommended.

Strategy from lvl 20-39:
Evenly lvl Melee, Magic, and Defense, this will keep your melee damage strong, and allow you to use a bow for opening shot that does decent damage. Should be ~27 lvls apiece(26/27/27/0) makes build now 65/28/65/1, with 1 stat until lvl 40.

Melee lvls:
Str – (2 for crush/1 for slash/0 for pierce/1 for whips)
Dex – (1/2/3/2)
Pst(0/0/0/0)
Magic lvls:
Int – 0
Cnc – 3
Mst – 0(occasionally 1, with Cnc taking 2)
Defense lvls:
Agi – 1
Cnt – 1
Dur – 1
The idea from lvl 20-39 is to keep your melee damage high, but focus on hitting as often as you can. Parry now becomes a big part of your defense. Defense stats strategy is the same, adding another 10 to agi, cnt, now 120+lvl and 130+lvl respectively. Should now be roughly 150/160/180 in defense. In Magic Cnc will increase opening shot damage, and will also help DoTs to not be resisted. Both int and cnc play a role in bow damage, but you can choose either. Cnc helps more in this build. You may choose to place a few points into Mst for more mana for heals as well.

Important Skills and New:
Crush/Slash/Pierce/Whips – 46/42/45/45
Suiting – 45
Blocking – 45
Dual Wield – 39
Double Attack – 39
Crush/Slash/Pierce Spec – 35+
Sorcery/Mind Bending/Diabloism - ~35 (for resists, more gems of color)
Green/White – 36 (for rk 5heals and some invigorates)
Mind Bending/Diabloism - ~35 (for resists)
Blue – ~34 (balance and manaburst )
Black – ~35 (DoTs, adding sloth aura)
Gemhandling – 20+ (3 of each gem)
Eternity – 25+
Shared Bliss/Palisade – 30+
Replenish/Revitalize – 25-30
Outbreak, Dark Patience - 30+
Dual Parry – 35+
Deflective Shield – 30+
Combat Concentration/Endurance – 25+
Petmanship – 37/45(swans or chippies for heals, sheep/seal or skunks/chippie for whip-user, can adjust to 2 attack or 2 heal pets as needed)
Taming/Loyalty/Ferocity – 35+ (whip user)
Wound – 38+(whip user)
Predacity – 38+ (whip user)
Archery – 36/39 (non-epic/epic)
Ambush – 35+
Trishot/Critcal/Serial Crit – 30+
Trained Eye, Flameshot – 30+
Keep all original weapon and protection skills 30+ as well.
Other skills to think about:
Repel, Healing, Longevity, Perseverance, Replay
Learning should focus on Perception, Cognizance, Active Learning, and Passive...followed by Squirehood and companionship. Then AA and GA again for bonus XP.
Adventuring should focus on item stacking and plunderfiend and packmule, followed by archeo and treasure sense.

Equipment:
Should have lvl 39 armor equipped, if not using epics lvl 36 armor should be used, and should be working on 45 armor. This includes 39 or 36 shield as well, mainly for boss fights. Swans or chippies for non-whip users, Sheep(45 pet)/skunks(38 pet) for whip users.
Weapons – Warrior should be using Frosted War Torches (46 crush), WM should be using a Zombie Claws(epic 28 slash) or using the Broadsword(42 slash), Rogue should be using the Flailing Treble(epic 42 pierce)or the Dagger of Blizzards(45 Pierce). BM should be using the Tree Claw(epic 37 whip), or the Whip of Light (45 whip).
Gem pouch should consists of majority of healing gems, with a couple replenishers, and a few DoTs as you see fit, aura of thorns/reflection/sloth in slots 2-4.

Farming:
Should be farming Vampire Dungeon Lvl 1, and should be able to solo the Bat Caves boss easily, possibly the VD1 boss as well.

Enchants:
Should be str focused for crush/slash/whips, and dex focused for pierce. Str enchants on sheep/skunks as well. Dur never hurts, nor does a little extra Cnc for opening shot or auras.
–mre/-pre/-int are recommended.



Strategy from lvl 40-59:
Evenly lvl Melee, Magic, and Defense, stopping Magic at lvl 39. 100/39/99/1 now, with 1 stat until lvl 60.

Mst – 0(occasionally 1, with Cnc taking only 2)

The idea from lvl 40-59 is to focus on maxing your melee damage. Defense strategy is the same, adding another 10 to agi, cnt, now 130+lvl and 140+lvl respectively. Should now be roughly 180/190/225 in defense. Magic strategy is the same, full Cnc with a few points in Mst for heals if you desire.

Weapons – Warrior should be using Blood Spike Mace(epic 59 crush) or Glacial War Clubs(64 crush), WM should be using a Blue Crystal Axes(epic 52 slash) or using the Molten Longsword(61 slash), Rogue should be using the Dragon Fang Dagger(epic 64 pierce)or the Ice Bone Long Dagger(63 Pierce). BM should be using the Dragon’s Tongue(63 whip).
Gem pouch should consists of majority of healing gems, with a few replenishers, and a few DoTs as you see fit, aura of thorns/reflection/sloth in slots 2-4.

Farming:
Should be farming Arena Isle, and should be able to solo upto the Coral Wreckage boss, possibly it as well.

Enchants:
Should be str focused for crush/slash/whips, and dex focused for pierce. Str enchants on hawks/wolves as well. Dur never hurts, nor does a little extra Cnc for opening shot or auras.
–mre/-pre/-int are recommended.

Weapons – Warrior should be using Blood Spike Mace(epic 59 crush) or Solar Implosion Club(80 crush), working toward 86 crushing. WM should be using a Haunted Totem Sword(epic 81 slash) or using the Emerald Flow Sword(81 slash), Rogue should be using the Dragon Fang Dagger(epic 64 pierce)or the Wyvern Kris(79 Pierce), working towards 85 piercing. BM should be using the Whip of Misery(epic 74 whip) or Whip of Forced Obedience(83 whip).

Farming:
Should be farming Dungeon of Rot 3 or Halcyon Rapids, and should be able to solo the South Lake Halcyon boss after raising a few more skills.

Enchants:
Should be str focused for crush/slash/whips, and dex focused for pierce. Str enchants on boa/leopards as well.

New Skills:
Death Blow – raise like crazy
Broadhead – raise like crazy…opening shot will almost always be a crit at this lvl.
Improved Bash – useful for boss fights, raise slowly when nothing else is super important.

Main focus: Raise crush/slash/pierce/whips/suiting to or above the lvl your farming. Focus on specs and procs(smash/slice/puncture/intimidate). DW and DA for speed and hits. Keep critical strike high and raise overcrit/hemmorage afterward. Keep blocking up to par for boss fights, and defective shield, bash, behind that. Whip users…focus on fire and ice and Stalking, followed by Growl, then Taming/Loyalty and then Ferocity. Green magic is great for gaias, can also throw in a few sylvains and gradual repairs, toss in a few manabursts and invigorates for a quick replenish here and there in long fights(bosses). Auras of sloth/thorns/refelction should be in spots 2-4 in gem pouch. Fill out pouch with a few black DoTs and your good to go

Guide to De-lvling.
No need…you have your build.

Ive been adding edits on the bottom as i think of things to improve on.. to number 2 now

Also i think a poll should be made for voting on the best guides in each catagory as soon as the competition ends

GUIDE CONTINUED
By level 65, be using the level 64 (if you cannot afford 67) armor.
By level 72, 67 should still be holding you over, or 72.
By level 79, if the 67 has become inadequate, if you have a wallet on your hands, 78 or 75 will do you right.
Area you should be in at lvl 79: S Lake Halycon
Boss you should be able to solo: Ghastly Jellyfish
Enchantments to aim for: same as before. NOTE: Heavily draining your physical stamina is not reccomended, as energy based healing gems will come in handy against bosses to be used before gaias.

Level Cap.
Final Stats Distribution at this point: at this point, you will no longer need recovery. Transcendence and wisp lift, not to mention with your regeneration skills should be fair enough for you to regenerate your mana and energy.
What Skills you should now focus on for your build:
Vampires yield health even from pet based attacks, making skills that increase pet damage (and your petmanship skill) worth your time.
Suiting is a must.
Continue to increase your weapon discipline's level.
Increase sorcery for resistance, and white and green magic for healing gems/auras.
THE IMPORTANCE IS FROM MOST TO LEAST, top to bottom.
Guide to De-lvling:

To delevel a skill, you MUST have not redistributed a skill.
When you delevel a skill, the points you assigned to each skill are destroyed. For example: if you placed 3 points in PRe (a recovery stat), and then deleveled the skill, those 3 points would be lost.
You can regain that level by simply defeating a monster that yields exp, as deleveling reduces your level to 1 xp before a level up.
What do I do if I've redistributed my stats?
You must summon the redistribution screen again, at a price of course. After the screen is summoned, click the X button in the upper right hand corner to send the screen away, now you may delevel your selected skill.
How do I get the rest of my points back after deleveling?
Log out, then in. The stat distribution screen should open again.

Now that the instructions are out of the way:
At this point you want to DRAIN recovery to 1 and place it your defense and magic, which are likely unenchanted up to this point.
In MAGIC, aim for purely MSt with a hint of concentration, for use of detrimental auras and DoT gems (as filler instead of escapes). In defense, allocate remaining points to durability. This is the only exception to the building of one's defence.

Enchantments to aim for: strength and dexterity(if a slasher) at the cost of INt and concentration, or physical stamina if you use white healing gems less frequently.

LEVEL 80
New skills:
Weaponry:
Death blow: 75 by 80.
Protection:
Improved Bash: of no use.
Life Magic:
Holy Clutch: 35 min by 80. negliable skill, as has little effect.
Death Magic:
Improved Rupture: of no use whatsoever.
Psych magic:
tunnel vision: of no use.
Beast Mastery:
Sense Fear: 75 by 80

I read the second part of bloods guide who is getting most of
the votes so here is my interpretation

it's 73 armor not 72 NEVER go -pst that alone should lose countless rrt from random energy draining bosses some for example are merf island which is an instant death sentence
cause it's black to most ppl there also I think WC is energy drain

also lvling in S lake is stupid because yellows and oranges are PROVEN to reep the beat exp/trophies for it's time

plus DB and sense fear are lvl 80 skills as you said by the time you are 80 they should be 75? they are impossible to ll before 80 but that doesn't matter but it takes weeks to get 2 or even 1 to 75 but you haven't even tried lvling 40s yet so you wouldn't know

but this is just constructive criticism I LOVE the first part but this kinda proves my point that people need to expierence the skills not just read/study them

Noticing a lack of rogue/pierce help here so I offer links to threads I've posted lots of info in. Mind you they are fairly out-dated, but a lot of the basic info holds true. Not trying to enter a competition, just offering the info to people who are looking for it. i am an adventurer and our class is almost totally neglected...wud like some help on how to build from 35 to 40 n onwards, i am dual wielding whips as my weapon of choice, as i feel the better learning abilities of adventurers will benefit into becoming a BM type build
