Yeah, use another stone to fix the stat you just lowered. In other words, always you will have to sacrifice one stat for another.

If you want to make tropheys from resins, it is allways interesting what you will get. I did some calculations and will share them.
EXP YOU GET <= [GOLD*3/5]*50
Here [] means integer part of number, e.g. [2.2] = 2

From other hand, trophey give you exp, which depends from it's level (formula): 150 + 100 * LVL
Now you can calculate, what can you get from "gold to tropheys" enchanting.
k*(150+100*LVL) <= [GOLD*3/5]*50,
here k is some integer (you can get one high lvl trophey of few lower lvl, for simplicity you can allways use k=1)

Are there restrictions on using enchanting stones on a weapon?

It was a while back, but I could have sworn I tried to use one on a weapon and it said something along the lines of "your weapon is too low a level".

Every single enchantable piece of equipment can only hold x2 it's original stats in enchantments, for example:

If you have a Helmet that has 2 STR 1 PRE 5 DUR (8 total stats)
It can hold a maximum of a +16 enchanting stone. Same goes for all equipment.

If you try to place a stone with more than +16 it would give you the message "The enchantment is much to powerful for this piece of equipment."

That list of enchant material's stats (quoted in the first page) seems to be incomplete.


There should be a second material that gives concentration in there for the uncertain materials.

I know this because I've seen +cnc /-pre -mre stones in the auction house before.

cnc needs another 33% mat. Rodent parts is the only 33% currently. while all other stats have at least 2 other 33% mats, cnc does not please give cnc another 33% mat!!

A rodent piece is the only raw resource that gives Cnc and Dex. I'm happy with that since it makes rodent pieces more valuable.
