Default Possible exploit with Rogue class ability

Specifically regarding the rogue's poison ability, it is technically an exploit/overpower/whatever if it truely hits every time if the target is poisoned. Rogues are adept at poisoning their opponents, and by my calculations could easily punch through the toughest poison resistances at max level. Although this may be the end goal of the rogue, having an ability that will do extra damage if poisoned could lead to an exploit making it extremely easy to lay waste to very high level opponents via this ability without having all the sufficient skills, allowing an extreme amount of damage, where it otherwise would not be possible.

Example: Lets say I am a character with higher than normal class mastery, poison/healing related gem skills, and suiting. I arm myself with appropriate level healing pets, and all healing gems and poison gems. I am using a weapon that is very low in relation to the level of the mob because, well, I spent all my trophies on the other skills.

I go into the fight, and I can keep myself regenerating enough to get my poisons to land, and then hit my ability for an extra boost of damage, that otherwise SHOULD miss that mob completely because it is melee related, and those skills are very low in relation to it.
