Default Gems newly placed on an autocast slot circumvent the global cooldown.

Hello,

I noticed that if i have multiple gems on autocast and they share the same cooldown, when one fires it will trigger the global cooldown on the others. However if I place a newly drawn gem from the pouch directly in play it will trigger before the global cooldown is finished on the original gems(basically instantly) forcing the gems to go on global cooldown yet again.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have multiple recastable gems in play that will be on global cooldown at the same time(if possible).
2. Let a gem be cast that triggers global cooldown on the others.
3. Place a gem from your hand into play.
4. Notice the newly placed gem is played instantly despite a global cooldown being in effect.

This sounds like something that looks like a bug but isn't. Try placing a gem to the right of the recastables and see if it still gets a perceived preferential treatment.

I've first thought it's from the game wanting to cast leftmost gems first as well but I've seen it happen from the right side too. I might be wrong though. You know better and I might have biased perception.

There's latency forgiveness built into autocasting that is similar to autoattacking that helps ensure you'll be casting at the maximum rate regardless of your ping. This can cause cooldowns on autocasting that are up to a half second faster than the standard global cooldown, and doing any action (or just having an update at the right time) can trigger the autocast to occur prior to what the client thinks the current global cooldown is, thus refreshing the global cooldown spiral fade before it looks like its time is up.

@glitch can this latency issue to cause aura gems to get out of whack and have an aura gem in slot 5 cast before gems in 3/4 and cause upkeep failures?

Latency forgiveness is not applicable to aura gems. They are automatic, not a client action.
