Default Beast timer

So... basically not many people can kill the beast within the first 15 minutes and after 15 minutes it no longer gives beast bonus... does it still drop the TC and 100K gold after the 15 minutes if it gets killed afterwards? Same question for the LG beast but after 30 minutes.

Reason for the question is that on S2 there aren't as many DPS toons able to kill the beast within the first 15 minutes or the LG beast within the first 30 minutes.

I read the title as it meant the 'beast bonus timer' that everyone keeps asking for.

Oh, didnt think of that. A workaround is to quote anything (this message, for instance), and change the author, text and post counter - the latter you can find into glitchless thread url.

Yes you still get all drops and whoever kills it gets the 100% bonus regardless of the timer. You just don't get bonuses for dying to the beast repeatedly after the timer is up.

No support at all. Basically beasts last much shorter and you have less time to get the bonus. Is it even going to be possible for more people than just the finder to get 100% BB?

Keep in mind, it is 15 minutes from the time it is found. Also, S1 beasts were always killed much faster than 15 minutes, and now they've been buffed to last closer to 15 minutes. On S1 it is a benefit for getting beast bonus. On S2, beasts were being farmed, causing us to first have to lower beast health to such an extent that they were killed SUPER faster. This is a much better solution.

Okay so I'm in Stronhad when beast in found in let's say the dreval islands. I hurry over to dreval islands and it takes about 4 minutes to get to the town of dreval because of gray mob encounters. Now i gotta go find the beast.

Gee, this is a pretty big zone. Let me start checking every single one of the 200+ square for it and get constantly jumped on suicidal mobs who have absolutely no chance of killing me. Still takes several seconds to kill and get out of looting each time. Well i finally found it after covering 150 squares in like 5 minutes. Find the Queue slots being like 5+ so it's more or less, a minute wait to die each time

The whole time, the beast was being fought and the timer was going down and down. I just see no way of getting 100% by dying 5 times in the first 15 minutes that it is found unless i was the first person to find it or i was already scouring the same area. What if i'm searching ocean of sorrow and beast ends up being in drevina sea. I just don't see myself being able to walk all the way over and die 5x in the first 15 minutes. I'd have to take a shot at the kill itself just so i can farm double gold for 45 minutes.

The beast used to die faster than it now does on S1. Not sure what you're complaining about.

Pretty much means i have only have 15 minutes to get 100% beast bonus unless i get the kill which is unlikely cause of other groups.

I know a few times beast has been killed within like 5min, so buffing it to last 15min is a good idea.

Can you now have it tell us our beast bonus??

The beast was level 75 before the patch. It's 80 now. It would have died even sooner prior to the patch.

It still has somewhat random max life, however, and it will be a faster kill on some days than others.

What zone was beast in :{

For this thread...most beasts seem to take just over 15 minutes to kill. Could time perhaps be extended to 20 minutes? That'd make so it almost never comes down to who gets lucky after timer ends and would still prevent farming

I have a better idea. Instead of making it a set time, where people will use stop watches to try and "time the kill". Make it a random time between 15 and 20 minutes. THat way there are still some that are random insta kills, and some that take it to the end, but whatever it is, people have to keep queueing.

Or else make beast have some bonus damage against the people who have killed lots of them already, so newer people can get beast kills...or both

Have beast damage scale to the amount of gold bonus a person has as Stromy said. That way those people will die faster and those who don't have a bonus still have a chance to find/kill it.

The mentality that you have to have 100% bonus is stupid imo. I have know people to out right refuse farming because they only had 80% gold bonus and not 100. A bonus is a bonus, whatever yo get will be more than what gold you would have gotten otherwise
