Default too much haste.... OP?

i was talking with Dtm today about the LG honey badger pet which raises haste by 6% per pet. So we added up all the possible haste we could think of. Ali angel chest piece raises haste by 10% (correct me if i'm wrong) then sharpened steel r5 raises haste by 8% , melee haste r5 raises it by 10%, quicksteel r6 raises it by 12% so add them up...


melee haste r5 10% sharp steel r5 8% +quicksteel r6 12% + aliangel chestpiece 10% + 2 honey badgers 12% = 52% if we had on lvl 90 uncommon 1h piercer which is 10 delay and - the 52% our delay would be 5.2, this could be a possible exploit... I DONT KNOW. i never tested it. im just saying it could be a possible exploit. also if we vile tomahammer which is 100 LG 1h piercer which can raise haste by 20% ... this would make the delay 2.8 on the lvl 90 1h piercer correct? lemme know what yall think. i didnt even add this stuff up for other weapons

Weaponmaster CA= doubles haste if alone

if auras dont stack, then its still 6% for both pets added., melee haste r5 + 10%, ali angel +10%,r6 quicksteel +12% = 42% WM ca doubling that if alone = 84% for 10 seconds? i'm assuming vile toma hammer would supercede the melee haste r5 aura then, still increasing this by 10% if we were using it. and if we used WM ca after it landed the aura, then ... would it be 104%? or is WM CA also considered an aura?

You should just refrain from posting this since you are completely wrong on how the math works in this game.

50% haste + 50% haste = 75% haste

2 badgers, aliangel bp (t2 because I like even numbers), melee haste r5, r6 rune and sharpened steel is 42.05563264% haste.

You also have to remember more hits per seconds means more chances at procing. You try using a pair of 90 piercers against anyone with half a hellram suit and see if you ever break through their damage shields

i clearly said i wasn't sure if WM ca wasn't considered an aura or not. i just said correct me if i'm wrong. but i found out it is considered an aura. so the highest possible haste you could get is 20% melee haste from vile tomahammer, 12% from R6 quicksteel, and 10% from aliangel, and 12% from the badgers. which is 54% man. you would just be in a state of OPness, but jeez "refrain from posting, you didn't have to be like that about it" if you learned to read, you'd clearly know i said "correct me if i'm wrong"

you forgot to mention quicksteel man... why would i use 90 piercers against someone with a shield? i'm just saying this would raise haste by 52% for a 1h with tomahammer, but if you excluded it, then it would be 42% if you substituted it with R5 melee haste. still a 42% haste increase is still.. really good

You don't read either when nemesiss said you were wrong on many accounts. The math is wrong you do NOT add it which is what you are doing, I then SHOWED you how to do it if you thought about it. Then I proceeded to do the math for you and show you the actual haste


EDIT: "r6 rune" I did include it....

Not everyone uses a shield to get damage shields....have you seen half of the epic bp's? half are damage shields the other half are heals. ALL hellram, bloodcrystal bp, aliangel arms/legs and ALL samurai are activated upon hits not to mention half of the epic shields and like 4 of the legendaries also proc a damage shield on block

EDIT EDIT: and if I add in the tomahammer instead of melee haste I get 48.49389568% haste

so would this be good for PVE rather then PVP? we don't know what armour the mobs wear. all we know is that our weapons lvl should be higher or the same as the mobs lvl

That is completely up to the person if they want to invest in haste or not. With all the different armor and weapons out there most prefer big hits to faster hits.

IMO they are not worth it PVE or PVP.. this is my opinion only tho... I much rather have a DEF pet such as timmy so that I can have close to no def at all while farming or in PVP.. NO def allows me to have so much more stats in DPS stats. you can decide what you like your self but the little extra haste doesn't strike me as a good deal over the timmies.. timmies are still the only chance melee toons even stand a chance pvp, and higher end PVE

Not to mention the DPS on them suck... Even the Tommys get a OP dps with the insane 20% healing...


Then Armored companions get the 6% miti with INSANE dps....

I feel this pet is robbed and not worth the investment comparison to other lgs... but feel free to correct me anyone

This is incorrect.
50% haste should be looked at like a 1.5 multiplier of your attack speed.
50% haste + 50% haste = (1.5 * 1.5) = 2.25x normal attack speed.
Divide your base delay by the speed multiplier to get new delay.
Base delay of 10 / 2.25 = 4.44444 new delay.
Two 50% haste bonuses stacked is essentially a 125% bonus to your melee or ranged DPS.

Alienangel = 9%
r6 rune = 12%
pet1 = 6%
pet 2 = 6%
sharpened = 8%
haste aura = 10%
WM ca @ 85 = 40.5% in group and 81% solo (if I did the math right)

haste using aura = 1.09 * 1.12 * 1.06 * 1.06 * 1.08 * 1.1 = 1.6296
haste using ca grouped = 1.09 * 1.12 * 1.06 * 1.06 * 1.08 * 1.405 = 2.081
haste using ca solo = 1.09 * 1.12 * 1.06 * 1.06 * 1.08 * 1.81 = 2.6814

delay = 10

10 / 1.6296 = 6.14 delay = 0.878 seconds
10 / 2.081 = 4.805 delay = 0.6872 seconds
10/ 2.6814 = 3.729 delay = 0.533 seconds

I swapped out the wm ca for the haste aura.
