Make arena more competive as a whole ... add more tier rewards

Default Make arena more competive as a whole ... add more tier rewards

Arena has now become, what your team is capable of, in terms of how far you are willing to push in the topslist or rankings. Some teams get to a point are where they are happy to sit there and do their daily fights to avoid decay, and leave it at that.
I propose a change to arena awards
Their is good competition to be had up to top 10 .

Once you reach this point the people that know if they cant get in accept that and take their 1 tc and stop queuing .

The people in top 10 are divided to those that can hold top 3 and those that are just able to hold top 10 to those that know they cant get top 3 just worry about staying top 10.

What i propose is more bracket rewards making it more competitive throughout arena rankings . Narrowing the gaps of rating .

Top 1 new lg weapon , or choice of 1 already released weapon and 1 armor piece + their 10 tcs

Top 2-3 choice of already released weapon or 2 armors +10 tcs

Top 4-6 choice of 1 lg armor +10 tcs

top 7-10 choice of any 99 epic weapon or 99 armor +10 tcs

top 10-20 choice of any 99 epic armor 2 tc instead of 1

top 20-25 2 tc instead of 1

This would make more people strive for more than "im in top 100" that cant get into to top 10 to compete more narrowing the huge gap between top 3 teams and the rest .

The rewards suggested can be modified however you like .
Perhaps just more tcs for different brackets .... whatever you see fit ...
But i really think people need something in between to aim for other then 1 tc and 10 to bring real competion to arena .

Right now top 3 teams 3k+ to 25000rating . 4-14 teams above 2k . 15-50 above 1500

If we got more of the 15-50 people actively fighting for something would be much narrower margins in arena

I mean come on we got tempers in game that take 3500 rating we can never get enough rating to use because only so many people compete for spots , i know we can get them after season but without achieving higher ratings over all is hard to get tokens for them .

It is not fine as if of the top 100 teams half are within 500 points of each other and 1k away form the top .
We need the middle to get much more competitive . How do you do this give them a goal to aim for .

The tier rewards i suggested are jsut suggestions he can add wichever he likes, none , adjust rewards to whatever he sees fit .

If you are complaining i added tiers within top 10 teams this was done so they fight each other more other then avoiding each other and holding thier spots .

I don't really care about the rewards, the title is whats important.

There is no other way you can get this title other than HARD WORK, sacrifices, and alots of time and brains

Arena needs an overhaul. It is pointless to spend the whole season to climb your way upslowly when Rush Week comes along and you can reach top10 in that time.

Shorten the season, more rewards to entice more teams... Do something.

And LD, please explain to me why someone would want to risk their spot they worked for for months and lose 30 rating when they only gain 1-5 points if they win?

I don't see the point in arenaing from the start of the season just to be passed up in the last week by Rush teams sapping rating and countering all the already formed teams. Yes, it is nice competition. No, it is NOT FUN to lose all your hard work.

people like you keep saying crap like that, but nobody really waits until the end
you have to grind arena to get tokens, there's already a reason to play more than at the very end

what you're really asking for is for teams that are better than you to not every get ahead of you, and that's not going to happen. if you only got to where you were cause you played nonstop and a few teams happen to pass you during rush week too bad, you didn't deserve it. get better and stop asking for handouts.

Sorry, but you are horribly wrong. My team has both won and lost matches against every remaining team in the top10. Please piss off.

Actually lurke they can and have. Even if they do arena all season with temp teams when they make their real team they will have such high personal rating that they will draw in the top teams instead of people their own rating. That is how you get 200 ranked teams fighting top 10 teams consistently. The rating loss isn't capped you can lose 30 or more from a team like that. Low level teams do not have anything to lose from fighting higher teams, they might lose .5 per fight or whatever the case maybe but if they manage to get a lucky opener that could change the match the higher team will lose a lot of effort.

This system would work fine if there were simply more teams to fight but with the lack of teams in area you can get the same low level team 3 or 4 times in a row. I also agree the system needs to be tweaked somehow

Right now is no reason to risk it at the end is why i suggested over haul of rewards in top teams as well

Thier are no teams to fight cause most that ealize they cant get to top jsut stop when get tokens for tempers.
Is why i suggested to entice more people to push harder in arena even if cant get top 10.

But it is fun.. Unless people are sharing with 4-6 people and are online 18-24 hours a day

I do have to agree with Hoodrat tho.. if it weren't final Rush, we would only be gaining like 3-4 rating from the next closest team..but I guess the final rush team don't realize how much time was actually spent to get the lead we had.. but I have to agree losing 30 rating to 5.. less than desirable. But we try to stick around for more than just rating decay..

this is nothing new jada. since rush was introduced people have been complaining about this. Before rush people were complaining about arena as well and the small amount of fights you get at the top and hence rating. There is always something to complain about and yes there is always room for improvement. I do feel that teams that are made at least 2 months prior to rush should get an added % to the rating per win and less loss than rushteams. This might discourage players to get into top 10 with a rushteam

I would enjoy the risk as well jada but the thing is if you arena all season like a lot of teams do you will fight each other and then adapt your builds/strategies and then beat them, ideally. If not you would do more changes and try again. With the final rushers only making teams during the final week it makes it extremely difficult to adapt and regain what you lost over the course of the final week.

That is one of the main reasons my team just stopped trying around the beginning of the month. We were 2.8k rating or so then we lost to costeak who had just formed and lost like 35 points. We decided it was not worth the rating loss to suicide to them and adapt while we lose hours or days worth of work per loss. The rush week only instilled that train of thought. Perhaps if teams were locked a few days prior to rush week and no new teams could be formed that would alleviate some of the issue.
