Default 1. h4???

I've been trying out some new stuff and was wondering if anyone had any tips on playing this opening.

I've seen some people play 1. c4 ... 2. h4 instead of 1. h4, and was wondering if that is a more solid opening.

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

I find 1. H4 to be quite limiting in attack options, but this is because I'm an agressive player.

If I'd have to choose, I'd say 1. c4 would be my game starter.

1.h4 isn't a good opening, it doesn't have much theory behind it because its not played often, and for good reason. Stick to something basic like 1.e4 or 1.d4, a 1.c4 once in a while if that your thing is fine too.

Playing the wing from the beginning, the wing you're most likely to castle to also, takes away blacks ONLY disadvantage, moving 2nd. you move the wing, black moves the center, and its blacks game.

If you or anyone else played 1.h4 against me, I'd turn off my brain to win without much thinking.
