Full "Suit" bonuses

Default Full "Suit" bonuses

This has already probably been suggested, but I will suggest it again.

Rare and Epic "suits" (all armor pieces of a set) should enable the user to have special bonuses. A lot of people mix and match their outfits for the best "stats," but few go for "what looks the nicest."

Other games, like Flyff, have rare "green" suits where the more pieces of a set you have, the higher the bonus. Other games like KO have enchants that can be placed upon armor (e.g., a +'ing system). Armor and weapons could be +1,+2...+9, etc.

Right now, a lot of the gear is fairly generic. Some personality to the armor would be much appreciated.

NOTE: Allowing users to equip items like "fluffybunny hat" or "pirate eye patch" to "pimp out" their characters would not do anything. We don't need random clothing, we need armor bonuses.

Some examples include:

Full Set bonuses:

20% Hp
20% Mana
20% Energy
20% Stat (Str, or Dex, or Int,etc)
20% Crit rate

Etc.

I'll probably post some pics of full sets that I think should have bonuses for in the next post.

though this has been suggested many times i still support something like the diablo 2 bonuses for complete sets of armor maybe when you get a complete set you have to craft it again or pay the seer to get a random bonus so all suits wouldn't be the same

I kinda like this idea... though I would just say a flat armor bonus for full suits, as they "fit" together better to provide protection, 10% armor bonus when wearing a full suit (of any type, common, rare, or epic)

i support the idea. id say each of the rare/epic sets have a bonus.

but instead of only the entire set, id say for parts, min of 6 parts = bonus. the more parts the higher the bonus.

i only suggest this, cause people could say that the shield is part of the set.

i would also suggest that you get an added bonus for having the archery set aswell.

eg:

i currently have the entire 88 armor suit, plus the 88 archery set (all 3 pieces) so i would get an added bonus for having the armor AND the archery set.

i disagree... this is biased towards ranged users.... not to say that all/most melee users dont have high level bow sets b/c of higher enchants... but ranged users usually get this gear first or get the elite of the elite (99 set when im still thinking about getting 88). Not to mention that there are no weaponry equivalents you could add bonuses to along the same lines.

since most people use dif pieces, using the entire sets together, like the archery gear and the armor set, it should give a bonus.

im not saying a bonus to archery just from using the archery gear, its more like a standard bonus, like extra hp, or bonus exp. something that would be worth it for buying the gear.

I understand where you're coming from.... i just dont think it's fair for casters/meleers for this reason:

2 lv 20 toons:

1 a melee user.. has 28 slashing and uses zombie claw.. has 25 suiting and has entire 25 suiting set... has 13 archery and has 13 quiver and bow... lv 4 arrow... seems reasonable...

2 a ranged user... has 25 archery and uses entire 25 set.. has 25 suiting and has entire 25 set... also uses lv 9 piercer for 2nd hit + enchants

the ranged user obviously is at an advantage here if bow sets are included in this full set bonus and weaponry is not....for i just spelled out a very reasonable scenario where a ranged user would be given a bonus just b/c his chosen weapon type that he concentrates the majority of his xp into comes in multiple pieces....

im just saying in the scenario i spelled out.. and just to keep the record staight:
btw.. mostly comparing range and melee.. not caster
  • hitting multiple enemies at once
  • haste aura
  • is there anything more detrimental to a caster than blind?
  • compared to melee... besides whippers... who gets an entire pg of skillz to improve them?
  • the choice of 2 lv 20 skillz to improve dps with an additional skill at lv 60 to make BOTH available... i know as a piercer i would love a skill that not only improved min but ALSO max dmg
  • versatility: bow not enough? put on a shield.. put on a whip... put on BOTH!! and your still not a whipper or a blocker.. ur main weap is still a bow!
  • epic upgrades ~ every 10 lvs
  • your primary stats for your ranged dmg also COINCIDENTALLY are prime stats to make you one hell of a caster hybrid... trust me... I am a piercer/DoT user.. if Dex effected my DoTs.. i would crit my pants
  • shall i really go on????

Is ranged weaponry perfect? far from it....

Inspect me in-game. You won't see a bow. Just a little FYI.

And I'm not interested in complaining about bows, and your points are pretty much meaningless to the point. At cap, bows do not have advantages over other class in any noticable aspect of Nod. This is just true. Plus, everyone except casters can/does equip bows. So the "this favors bows" is silly. That's my point.

Like Smash was saying, I'd like there to be like "part bonuses" to armour sets.

Say on a "caster" set:
2/6 piece bonus: 10% bonus to MST/PST
4/6 piece bonus: 10% bonus to MST/PST, 10% stacking bonus to mana/energy regen
6/6 piece bonus: 10% bonus to MST/PST, 10% stacking bonus to mana/energy regen + 10% bonus to all DD damage

Something like that anyway. Would encourage people to at least get a few pieces, maybe even combine pieces from various sets to get a few different set bonuses. Would be nice if bonuses where pretty uber heh

expanding on this a little,

if like people to be able to decide what they wanted.

eg:

Caster Suits
Pierce Suits
Range Suits
Tank Suits
Crush Suits
Slash Suits
DoT Suits
Heal Suits
etc

this way, the bonus that they get for the suits they wear benifit what they want.

id say add a cost to change it, 100k seems fair to me, and once you make the choice, it is there for the rest of the suits.

something unique would be nice though.

like Caster Suit: XX% bonus chance to hit with your DD
Pierce Suit: XX% increase to bloodlets
Crush: XX% increase to max
Range: XX% haste increase.

something that benifits the strong points of each of the multiple weapon types to make it more diverse with different builds, weapons/armor and classes.

id say make what type of suits u can use class based melee damage classes can use crush/pierce/slash tank classes can use def suits and caster classes can use caster suits (varied based on type of caster)
