Lol I'm not all that upset. It just turns out you need dex in the end if you want to max out the use of ur melee wep. Kinda taxing on casters who do want to use a staff. no?

I have noticed a difference on my lvl 10 pkker. he is 170 str and 110 dex and i missed alot on a red mob where. I used to kill them much faster as I do now. you wont notice much of a difference if ur fighting blacks or anything yellow and under. it seems to only matter on orange-purple range. and if ur an all str build. if u have a decent amount of dex you probably wont notice either.

i just leveled him to lvl 12 and those same mobs die very fast again. Personally I'll be pkking lvl 5-6's mostly and since this doesnt effect pvp this doesnt really affect me much but there is definitely something different with all STR builds in PVE

Like Richp said... there is definately something different for people who used the all Strength no Dex build for crushing weapons.

Glitchless, pleaaaase look into a solution for us pure str crushers.

umm...... by saying "PLZZZ LOOK INTO A SOLUTION....." I assume you mean a different solution that getting some dexterity? It really should surprise a crusher that nobody feels sorry for them as everyone else (aside from pierce....... but pierce has never once been called OP so.....) needs one stat for damage and a different one for accuracy.

If going all strength means you miss more, then add some frikkin' dexterity like every other build already has to. I really don't know what else to say.

Crushing is slow. But hits hard. That's how it works. So we're waiting for the hit that never comes. Miss.... Miss.... Miss... Double Miss... FFFFFFFF!

Yes, and obviously every single point in STR increases damage significantly, so much so that it outweighs the benefit of using DEX.

str also is supposed to affect the accuracy of crushing weapons i think this is the point zomg is trying to get at

Going pure-strength with crushers is just as failsauce as going pure-dex with piercers. For quite a while, too. Read the tooltips, they've said that crush needs Dex to hit, and Pierce needs Strength to do max damage.

Now, if you're perfectly fine with doing better damage but not hitting as much (with crush) or hitting a lot but never doin' much more than the minimum (with pierce), then that's on you. I like being effective, personally.

crush and pierce require much less of the other stat (dex and str respectively) than say slash but it used to be up til bout lvl 40 or so with crushers u could go 100% str and hit just as much as if you had dex also (not sure bout how piercers worked in the first place cause i rarely use)

Is it true that in the patch mobs also miss less? I was trying to build a defensive alt, with high agi/cnt, but now it seems there is very little, if any point to this. If we are going to increase mobs dex, we should also make agi more effective.

the mobs dont change accuracy as if ur black to a mob they are grey to you ...the patch only increased accuracy on black and higher mobs

Did everyone forget it is near impossible to Parry a Crusher? Mostly for mobs not being able to parry cause you can't parry when stunned so its either a miss or a hit for a huge amount of damage. Not to mention i have never seen a capped crusher with full STR. They always had atleast 150 Dex sometimes 200.

thats kinda the point of slash....str is what makes you cause the most damage and dex causes you to hit so high str will be normal for slashers

kinda like bows u need less dex than you do cnc/int

So much fail in this thread. Reread what G said in his second post crush haters. Zombie r u sure about this? I'm doing fine with my Guardian(19) with dual ball and chain and almost full STR 219 (my Dex is 120) in north pass and mountains (I still hate vultures though).

120 dex is all you would need at that level for a crushing weapon
