Default Adventure exp

I was thinking maybe towns could have a player level restriction on them for players of a higher level and have it so you can get Adventure Exp with or without AT, this way players who used the cleared path method to save AT while gathering up exp would be point less as they would have to goto a town that will give them exp as lower level towns wouldn't give any but those that are willing to travel from town to town within there level can still get exp without AT. it would give ppl (expecially post beta accounts) a reason to visit higher level town when they have run out of AT. even though it would take time longer to get to them.

who likes this idea?

I like it, except for the fact that traveling is traveling... which means, it's always nice to know there is somewhat of a reward to traveling to previous towns which means even if getting to that town is trivial, it's still nice to have some exp go towards a adventuring skills, even if the amount is small. clear path method seems like a waste of time to me anyways :P

ya but what i'm suggesting is that you can travel to previous towns just if your lvl is higher than the restriction on that town you fail at getting exp there but you could go from that town to one thats not restricted to you level you get exp there.

for example at lvl 20 i could go from Altimus to Stronhad and not get exp there as i'm to high in level but i can still go from Stronhad to Altimus and get exp arriving there

i dont quite get the point of the idea as you can easily keep your all adventure skills at your lvl or higher by just visiting a town after your done lvling and then moving to 1 square from a town where you lvl near

also you need to travel back to towns you already visited sometimes for equipment take atlimus for an examaple they have lvl 20 requiring items and lvl 90+ requiring items

first off you'd still need to visit a different town.

there are other town you could visit and getting back to a town that only has low lvl/greys in the way that would still be quick to get to, this is just a suggestion to have it so you get exp without AT giving people without AT left something they can do if they are just gonna hang out in nod.

no, you can still get exp when out of AT. but can't get exp if your lvl is to high for a town.

I agree with warlord, that would be a good idea....if i'm reading this right, it would keep people from traveling from t1 to t2 back and forth to gain easy exp

I think there's just a small problem with the restriction, given that, as an example, most of us high levels have to travel from say, Burdinia to Castille, on boss runs (Goat to Moss Dungeon level 3). This would mean that we wouldn't get xp for that, if I'm understanding you correctly. That seems like a pretty harsh penalty.

Thank you Doug for the correction. I think the point is still valid because the travel would be the same from those places back to Castille, but now you would be traveling from Maalin instead.

I'm confused, would you be making this plod from maalin to castile while you had AT? if not then as it already is setup you'd only get exp from the first town you hit on the way which would be Alitmus on that trek.

so basicly nothing would be different from this setup to the one we have now.

onylif u choose to walk through the town but yeh i guess i think we getting a bit =S about this

but it would force u to go to a town tht gave u exp before u went elsewhere

so it could actually add to your travels

ok, so then with the current setup, going with the point of not having AT, when you travel back to maalin you'd get no exp as opposed to this one i'm suggesting you would get exp for going back to maalin without AT.

Default Caveat 2

Decker,
If I meet the level restrictions for both Burdinia and Maalin, can't I just keep going back and forth to gain Adventure xp? Or are you suggesting a one and done like now? Also, and I'm not quite sure and how this works, don't you get more experience traveling from Maalin to Castille (without stopping in another town) as opposed to Maalin to Burdinia? With the new system it seems like you would be limited in the amount of distance you can travel between towns, as the farthest towns from you would be subject to the level restriction.
