Default question about the magics

i'm a warlock and i'm training death magic, but i saw a few stats in life and psych magic that would be usefull for me. so that leads to my question, can i use the stats in them or is it a waist of time to level them.

dose anyone have some tips on blademasters?

Any player can use any stat. So a warlock could specialise in white magic if they wanted, but won't get a class bonus for it.

Red & black gems are definitely the way to go later, but with the huge bonus of 3%, it is better to go for the other 4 colours first. Red definitley has the best mana+energy to damage conversion rate, and with flare up aura, that increases that too. There are some gems though that aren't worth it.

If you are going to go with a sword/shield warlock, I'd suggest getting more recastable and cantrip spells, and maybe shield auras as well. That way you can keep dealing damage while drawing new spells without worrying about draw speed. Also, look at the recasting healing gems in green which may help out in fights.

Good luck with it - there's a lot of skills to learn for us death mages.

EDIT: If you do go down the sword/shield path, then you don't have to learn any of the skills that have 'if you have a staff' then. That will cut down a lot of skills to learn. Personally, I'd go with the staff and learn two-handed and overcrit combats.

thank you, that's good to know. the stats are ones to help out with lowering the mana and incressing the draw haste of gems.

Yes, defintely get them. Gem handling, wizardry, etc all work for all classes. As long as they have a staff equipped.

'Gem handling' though works without requiring a staff, and so do some of the level 20 & 40 skills.

wizardry helps even if you dont have a staff, you just get an extra forty % boost with a staff on.

I advise bringing up all magic stats. You have energy and mana for a reason, why not use it? I'm an Archer and I use a ton of gems. I love green magic and White magic for the healing. Gaia's Blessing really helps out healing every 9 seconds for free. Depending on the rank depends on what it heals for but it is worth it. I also use Forsaken still. That goes with white magic. Just make sure you have gems to help your mana and energy recover as well. I use the Wisp Lift for energy and the Transcendence for mana, those don't switch off energy and mana, they give you free energy or free mana. Very much worth it when you are fighting strong beasts. I use grey magic to defend against daze. It adds more resistance with the right gems. Blue magic helps regenerate mana. green for energy, I use red for Ignition. The only magic I haven't used yet is black
