Question Hotkeys to Replace Gems

Hey. So I have noticed that if I am in the middle of a fight and wish to replace a continuous HoT gem like Sylvain Restoration, Gaia's Blessing or Gradual repair, it tells me that this gem has no effect to be activated when I'm trying to REPLACE it with the hotkey for that gem slot. Thus making it where you must manually click and drag it ( not a huge deal ). Is it meant to be this way or should those gems also be replaced just like the DD recastables?

Ctrl + hotkey removes the gem from play.
After that, just place the gem you want with the same hotkey

In order for you to replace a gem using the hotkey for that gem (unless it is an aura) you must have auto cast turned on. In order to activate auto cast you just hold shift and click on the slot in play. It took me a while to figure it out so i hope it helps you.
