Lightbulb Post season tempers

Not sure how this will be received, but I think it's a good idea. Up front, I want to make it known that I realize this is exploitable to a small degree, but will ultimately improve the quality of life in nod and in arena with a very small temper mechanics change.

What is the possibility that post season tempers (after rush week ends) will take into account the highest rating your team achieved since you joined it (after the 1/3 rating loss due to new member), rather than the number it lands at in the end.

I believe this would give people the proper incentive to continue to Q once they've reached a desired rating target, without fear that a few losses or a new, OP low rating team will snatch their post season tempers away. Could help with Q times and overall participation.

You could also add a stipulation that the system would not begin tracking your highest achieved rating until a match has been won with your character on the team. Of course, leaving a team resets your highest achieved rating to zero. I think this would help to avoid rewarding the undeserving.

I would counter that highest rating achieved shouldn't stick, but individual rating be the marker, once you leave a team and don't or can't join a new one (in the case of missing the announcement for rush beginning).

For most people this would not be much of an exploit (if at all) as even with our near 2.5k group rating, i'm only at 1.8k individual. It won't be much help for those trying to increase their tempers, unless they don't already have some, as individual rating trails team rating by a long distance.

Either way, fully support.

Tempers should be free of rating. If you have the tokens you should be able to temper any level you have the tokens to. Anything else is exploitable by users.

That would be an exploit for anyone who can q all day and win some matches. Even losing 3/4 of matches, I managed to get 3k tokens in the first couple weeks of arena (x7) cuz I was able to q the whole time.

At best, I'm a mid-build toon and I think the rating might be a little restrictive, but it wouldn't feel that way if I were better and one of my teammates wasn't on pilg.

This exact situation is happening for the last week or so. And Q times are so slow most of the day that very few teams are able to outrun slow decay.

Minus almost 200 rating in a couple days because an OP team hasn't been in queue except for the last couple weeks. So yeah, might not have a chance at x8s this season even though we already made it to just under 2.6k rating at one point.
