Default Drop rates with DA

I am experiencing looonnnggg waits between drops with double acceleration, especially when epic hunting, like 14-18 hrs rrt. Anyone else experiencing this? Are drop rates based on burnt rt/rrt, or number of fights, because i have been doing slowish fights in redwood.

its a combination of number of fights as well as rrt usage

From what I remember a year ago, most of the people I knew were actually going off of fight count not rrt spent because it was a wee bit more accurate that way. So if regardless of where you are, it takes 120 fights between drops...yeah...

I'm one of those "drop counters," with records going back to October 2010.

My absolute fewest fights between drops was 67. My absolute highest fights between drops was 297. Most are between 95 and 120 fights. And the zone doesn't seem to matter. I recently went 254 fights in the Abyss before I got a drop (the first 90 of those fights were in N. Lake, so 164 of them were actually in the Abyss). My next drop came after 87 fights in N. Lake.

Elapsed play time may have something to do with drop frequency, but I can assure I invested a whole lot more time in 254 fights in the Abyss than I did with 87 fights in N. Lake.

i used to keep detailed count of my drops rrt used kills everything...way it seemed was whenever my kill speed would speed up the average mob count went up (lost all my data so dont really have a way to prove it) reason the method works for most of the people at cap (least back then) was noone really got better they just farmed and sold ****

I also record all rrt between drop since ... as far as i can remember.
Before 2x accell, i used to get drops from 7hr to 9hrs rrt in gob swamp Hero.
since 2x accell, I spent between drops 15:03:00 / 10:40:00 / 12:59:00 hrs rrt ... so it somehow affected the speed at which I'm getting drop compared to the rrt spent.

Like pkp said, it might be a combo or rrt spent/ number of mobs killed ...

In that case 2x accell is a nerf to getting drop ... but I won't disable it I allows me to spend less time farming, and more time doing something else.
