Default Are taunts harmful

impedence reads :Every point in this skill provides roughly 0.1% resistance to all harmful magic effects depending on your contravention

null mind reads: Every point in this skill provides roughly 0.15% resistance to all harmful Psych Magic effects depending on your contravention

my question is do taunts fall under the category of "harmful magic effects"

We believe these are working as intended.

I'd have to say anything that deems a foe as a target is considered harmful.

IMO.. this is the way I think Glitchless wrote it, it includes all DD's and DoT's ... why?... b/c they do actual harm (negative HP/damage) to the recipient (you).

Yes they do, however.. Aggravation plays a huge roll on this case...
