Runes and New Essence

something i thought about today to maybe get some gold out, is to let kds hold a max or 9999 runes, and to make a new essence, the Essence Element of Super Tecton...buying it costs a whopping 9999 runes and a broken short sword, and giving it back to the quake keeper will devastate something like 10x10 kds or maybe even 20x20 and all the other old benefits of a tecton, figured this would be a way for ppl with huge amounts of gold to spend it and possibly make them want to nuke ppl more.

There doesn't need to be cheaper ways to get rid of plexes.. that would make it much easier to take out higher runed plexes, defeating the purpose of their security.

how is 1 quad cheaper when the area of effect is only 100-400 kds?

1quad? you mean 10tril? and unless its a 10x10 of 100's or more completely pointless...

my bad on saying it was a quad, wasnt thinking all the way through, well since its only 10t then, make it a 5x5 devastation or something, and it may be pointless, but ppl would still use it regardless. many people would argue that some of the past updates were pointless, but they are still things that people use. why? simply because its there.

An alternative might be an upgrade to standard tectons that consumes 999 runes and lowers morale by a random amount. It would need to have the chance of making a significant decrease but the random factor (so close to Jeff's heart) would prevent it from being a surefire kingdom blaster. Either the upgraded tec would do both standard and morale damage, or it could even be specific only for morale so players wishing to use them would likely spend 3 tril where they spend 1 now. Less unbalancing than a super tec but perhaps appealing enough to reduce the gold supply a bit. An upgraded stone could be added to counter the upgraded tec, maintaining a balance.
